The Garden (poem)
Under the peonies I rest,
But I will not awake from this silent sleep.
The purple and white flowers seem to bow their pretty heads to the earth and cry raindrops.
I'm not lonely for I have the flowers for company; who could possibly be lonely when surrounded by petals of a million different colours and shades?
So don't cry when you think of me... instead nourish the flowers ensuring they always stay beautiful, and it will be like I never died at all.
The Final Minute
I know I'm dead,
My body is heavier than lead.
My blood is thick like oil.
Lips are marble white and my eyes gaze skyward.
They are red with nightmares.
My very bones seem to wither.
My heart lies cracked and beaten on the floor.
My soul rises like a warning column of smoke.
I feel my spirit rising free from the shell I was,
I look down to the boy-doll, lifeless and pale.
And my ghost cries salt-tears beneath the moon.

One word woke me.
One word hit me,
One word bit me,
One word choked me,
One word hugged me.
One word saved me,
One word craved me,
One word hurt me,
One word soothed me.

One word was deft to me,
One word thrilled me,

Ghost of my mind.
In my mind she is sunshine dazzling gold,
An electric lightning bolt of pure beauty.
It was 5 years that flowed between our youthful hands;
